Given recent disruption in the solar energy market, including large players reporting significant losses, and others exiting the business altogether, it is important to clearly state to our existing partners and potential new partners, installers, and dealers, that Maxeon stands firm as a leading provider of the world’s finest solar panels and solar energy solutions. In the dynamic world of solar, we understand that change can cause concern. But you can be assured that Maxeon customers are in a secure and promising position.  

We’re proud of our nearly 40 years of solar energy leadership. That legacy was born as part of the original SunPower Corporation, but Maxeon spun off from SunPower in 2020 as an independent company. We were the innovation engine for SunPower Corp, but since the spin off, Maxeon has been a separate, publicly traded company, operating independently and with separate management.​ While SunPower Corp shifted its focus to reselling complete systems in North America, Maxeon continued its legacy as a leading manufacturer of solar panels and solutions, expanding its dealer network globally. 

After a few years of fruitful collaboration, at this point, Maxeon has no relationship with SunPower Corporation other than our use of the product brand name.
